Are you a high school student, young professional or attending a Post Secondary Institution in Canada, and looking for a homestay?
This is the page for you!
If you are looking for a homestay in our larger cities, we offer “homestay only” services in Toronto, Halton, Ottawa (ON), Vancouver, Coquitlam, Burnaby (BC), St John’s (Newfoundland) and some key other regions.
We personally onboard and vet our host families, and many of them have been hosting with us for years!
In some regions it is possible for us (or the local district if they are involved in host family selection) to screen a host family that you have in mind
(a relative, family friend or host family referral). Your home away from home is the most important part of your experience abroad.

With Educatius everything is more easier in Canada. If I have any problems, I know that they’re willing to help me. It’s really nice with Educatius because I think I am not only getting the experience here with my friends but also other experiences with Educatius too! I had the chance to hangout and talk with my custodian, and that was one of my good time in Canada. It’s really nice since I got to meet other international students who are also with Educatius. Then we started to hangout and got closer, without Educatius I would not know them!
Upon arriving in Ottawa, I was greeted with big smiles by my host family and that is when my Canadian journey began. I am very happy to have chosen Educatius Canada to guide me in my Canadian academic’s journey.
I explored the National Capital City, which has many tourist attractions and for me I especially enjoyed jogging in the parks and meeting up with my new local friends. It was a big change for me, living in a city with a variety of ways to spend my free time, seeing as I am from a very small town in Norway. I also enjoyed some memorable weekend trips with my host family and with other international students. My host family made me feel at home.
Both academically and socially, I feel like I have learnt and grown a lot. The teachers and staff were always there for me to help me adjust to the new school environment and to help me reach my academic goals as an international student!
If I would describe Canada, I would say wonderful people, a bit rainy but still enough sunshine to enjoy a nice hike.
I think I have a better understanding of the culture and how people like to have fun.
My experience with the host family has been 10/10, could not have been a better fit.
I went to Newfoundland on my first year and moved to British Columbia in my second. Both provinces have their own uniqueness of cultures and foods.
I noticed that in BC is more multicultural.
In NL I usually see people who are rooted from Irish!
